Do you believe in love at first bite? After capturing this couple’s engagement session, I certainly do! Kaminsky’s Dessert Café and Waterfront Park are two of the most iconic spots for an engagement photo session in Charleston, and they provided the perfect backdrop for this lovely couple.
Charleston’s Downtown has a unique charm that draws visitors from across the country and around the world. From the moment you step into its cozy atmosphere, you’re captivated by the soft fragrance of cappuccino in the air, the inviting cafes that line the streets, and the beautiful couples who fill these spaces with love. This session was no different, as the couple looked perfectly in sync in their matching white outfits, radiating happiness and elegance.
Our first stop was Kaminsky’s Dessert Café, not just a charming location but also the place where this couple first met. “I’ll never forget that day,” she shared. “It was a Saturday in June. We met at Kaminsky’s, a cute coffee shop and bakery in downtown Charleston, and we talked about everything—from music and movies to politics and family. What I remember most was meeting HIM at the shop entrance and instantly feeling comfortable in his presence. As we sat across from each other, sipping hot chocolate, I thought, ‘Wow, this is a man,’ as he spoke with a thoughtfulness and compassion far beyond his years.”
After our time at Kaminsky’s, we headed to Waterfront Park, another Charleston gem. The park’s old trees, the soothing songs of birds, and the warm, bright sunshine made the session truly magical. The natural beauty of the park only enhanced the couple’s joy and love, making every moment of the shoot feel special.
Having dated for four years, this couple has already envisioned their future together. Their plans include staying healthy, living in their dream home, advancing in their careers, seeking adventure through travel, raising beautiful, well-adjusted children, and setting new goals for the years ahead.
This engagement session at Kaminsky’s Dessert Café and Waterfront Park was a celebration of love, memories, and the bright future that awaits this couple. It was a pleasure to capture their story in two of Charleston’s most beloved locations.
