First meetings often hold the seeds of something extraordinary, and for Kathryn and Peter, that was certainly true. Their journey began with a casual glance and smile, blossomed into a first date, and grew with each embrace, each kiss, and each moment spent together. Over time, their bond deepened, leading to a shared realization: they wanted to spend their lives together.
On February 26, 2022, surrounded by friends, family, and the love they’d built, Kathryn and Peter celebrated their wedding in beautiful Charleston, SC.
Watch their wedding highlight video below to relive their special day!
The day began at the historic Francis Marion Hotel, where both the bride and groom prepared for their special day. With its prime location in the heart of Charleston and stunning historic architecture, the Francis Marion Hotel provided a picturesque backdrop for Kathryn and Peter’s wedding preparations. Kathryn looked radiant in a snow-white gown with lace straps that flowed gracefully with every step. Her hair, adorned with beads and a long, airy veil, perfectly complemented her feminine and tender look. Peter, in a classic black suit, white shirt, and black bowtie, embodied timeless elegance — a choice that always looks stylish.

Kathryn and Peter exchanged vows at the breathtaking Unitarian Church of Charleston, a venue known for its historic beauty and serene atmosphere. The soaring white vaults and vibrant stained-glass windows created a magical setting for their ceremony. This church was a perfect choice, symbolizing the union of the bride and groom’s two faiths: Catholic and Jewish. Under the light filtering through the colorful windows, they said “I do,” pledging their love and commitment.

The celebration continued back at the Francis Marion Hotel, the place where Kathryn and Peter’s love story began. Having met at their workplace in this very hotel, it was deeply symbolic for them to hold their reception here. The pandemic had brought them closer together, and through those challenging times, they realized they were meant to be.
The reception was a vision of warmth and elegance, featuring shades of pink throughout the décor. The bride’s bouquet, the bridesmaids’ dresses, the groomsmen’s bow ties, and the guest table decorations were all accented with soft, warm tones that tied the event together beautifully.
As part of our time capturing Kathryn and Peter’s wedding, we asked them to share what they love most about each other. Kathryn’s answer was heartfelt and filled with love: “I love his smile and the way he always makes me feel loved. He is my best friend in the world, and I couldn’t imagine life without him.”
Peter’s response was equally touching: “I love her hair and the way she smiles. Her laugh is amazing, especially when she’s in full planning mode.”
At Charleston Photo Art, we were honored to capture both the photo and video for Kathryn and Peter’s wedding day. From the intimate getting-ready moments at the Francis Marion Hotel to the stunning ceremony at the Unitarian Church and the lively reception, we preserved every special memory in timeless imagery and cinematic highlights.
