Wedding at Osprey Point Clubhouse // Marisa & James

A wonderful Кiawah island wedding in the best classical tradition with a handfasting ceremony and Вible readings. But the acquaintance of James and Marisa took place in a rather modern and non-classical manner. It didn’t happen in a restaurant or a nightclub, or even at a party with mutual friends. They found each other on a dating site.

They met on Match.com and their first date was dinner at a local taco restaurant and then ice cream! Young couple talked for quite a while on the phone prior to the first date so it was comfortable and easy. This young couple looks very harmonious and really happy. They have been dating for 4 years and after making the decision to create a family. This very decision was supported by all relatives, and James’ grandmother summed up with the words “FINALLY! So, in October 2020 the new family was created on Kiawah Island and I was honored to be Kiawah Island wedding photographer.

The ceremony itself took place on Kiawah Island for a very special reason. James grew up travelling to Kiawah Island with his family, and since his father passed away about 5 years ago the couple wanted to have the wedding somewhere special that had those fond memories of his dad.

It was a golf resort wedding, or rather said, the wedding ceremony took place in one of the best golf clubs in the United States. Golf resort wedding venue with endless fields, an atmosphere of silence and quiet, beautiful landscapes give an unsurpassed charm to a wedding ceremony. A long veil fluttering in the wind slightly covering the kiss of the newlyweds is truly enchanting.The wedding ceremony took place near a small clean lake against the backdrop of a cloudless sky. A very nice highlight of the place is its spaciousness. Including the restaurant, where another part of the wedding took place with congratulations, dances and champagne.

The newlyweds are fantastic. A bride in a dazzling dress with a long veil is simply the embodiment of grace and charm, and this outfit made it possible to take just wonderful pictures. The groom in a black classic suit with a red bow tie is simply irresistible. In principle, all guests followed the white-black-red dress code, which contributed to the complete color harmony.

It was a real pleasure to work with James and Marisa and create for them photo memories.
