Ethan planned a picture-perfect proposal for his now-fiancée, Grace, during their December visit to Charleston. Traveling from Virginia, the couple fell in love with Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens, an unforgettable setting often listed among the best Charleston proposal places.

Ethan selected a breathtaking spot beneath the sweeping branches of centuries-old oak trees near the barn. The natural canopy of moss-draped limbs provided a timeless, romantic setting — ideal for such a meaningful moment. To ensure the proposal remained a complete surprise, Ethan and I worked closely together behind the scenes. We exchanged reference photos, mapped out directions, and finalized every detail to make sure the moment went off without a hitch.

When the time came, Grace was genuinely surprised and overwhelmed with emotion. It was a beautiful, heartfelt moment to witness and capture. After she said “yes”, we strolled through the gardens for a post-proposal photo session, preserving the joy and love that radiated from them both.

This Boone Hall proposal was a perfect blend of natural Southern charm and thoughtful planning — a day Ethan and Grace will always remember.
