Some proposals are simply picture-perfect — and Hunter’s sunset engagement to Melissa at Beach Inlet was exactly that. On September 24th, under the golden glow of a Charleston sunset, Hunter dropped to one knee near the public beach access by the bridge that connects Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island. The view, the lighting, and the moment itself were truly magical.

Hunter envisioned a simple yet stunning setting, and nature delivered. As the sun dipped low over the water, the warm light danced across the sand, and the bridge in the background created a dramatic, romantic backdrop. It was quiet, intimate, and beautifully emotional.

Melissa’s reaction was pure joy and surprise, making the moment even more touching. After the proposal, we stayed at the beach for a dreamy photo session. The soft light, gentle waves, and peaceful surroundings made for a collection of romantic, timeless images.

Planning a Charleston proposal with a golden-hour glow? Whether it’s near a quiet inlet, on a beach at sunset, or under the iconic oaks, Charleston Photo Art is here to capture your love story in the most meaningful way.
