A wedding at Old Wide Awake Plantation is the event of a lifetime. It is one of my top favorites places of Charleston wedding photo session as the atmosphere there is absolutely absorbing. The place itself reminds a fairytale, definitely one of those which you will remember till the end of your life. A dream come true – nothing less than that. Ceremonies can be held on the tree-lined avenue that leads up to the estate, where couples can say their vows under the old oak trees. They can choose between indoor and outdoor event spaces, in order to best reflect the tone of their wedding.
The bride and groom looked the happiest people in the world. Starting from the moment of preparation and ending with walking down the isle, everything seemed to be perfect. The wide wrap-around covered porch, a welcoming outdoor space for seating or simply receiving, the ivy-covered archways …
The couple met in 2014 and have been together for almost five years. They have very warm cozy atmosphere around, which makes me feel that they will be happy together. They plan to travel a lot, develop themselves professionally and enjoy their lives together. The marriage is a turning point in their live. After such a stunning wedding there will definitely be a lot of things to remember!
The wedding was a lot of fun: all the guests were dancing, the bride and groom shone with happiness, and the beautiful lighting complemented the general fun. The table was full of various goodies, and the most adorable addition was a wedding cake.
We wish the couple only the happiness!
