While visiting Charleston with Melissa, he made a dinner reservation at Burwell’s, ensuring she would dress up for the occasion without suspecting a thing. Before heading to dinner, he suggested a quick stop at White Point Garden, setting the stage for his unforgettable proposal.
A Romantic Setting Beneath the Majestic Oaks
White Point Garden is one of the most picturesque and timeless locations in Charleston, and Collin carefully selected a spot under the grand live oaks, where their arching branches created a natural, romantic backdrop. The April colors and the soft golden-hour light enhanced the scene, making it feel like something out of a fairytale.
When Collin got down on one knee, Melissa’s reaction was priceless — pure shock, happiness, and overwhelming joy. She had no idea what was coming, making the moment even more meaningful. It was a true surprise proposal, and every emotion was beautifully captured.

After the big “YES,” we continued the photo session in the surrounding beauty of White Point Garden before heading to the Battery and the charming historic streets of Charleston.
