Leroy planned the perfect little “picnic” at Middleton Place — but what Danielle didn’t know was that this cozy afternoon on the hill would turn into one of the most unforgettable moments of their lives.
It was a beautiful February day when Leroy chose a peaceful spot near a bench overlooking the gardens, right between the main house and the chapel. The sunlight, the quiet of the hill, and the view made it feel like their own little world. And then — the biggest surprise — he got down on one knee.

After all the happy tears and hugs, we spent time walking through the blooming camellias that were just starting to show off their colors. It was the perfect ending to such a joyful moment.
What made their story even more special to me was later that year — Danielle and Leroy invited me to capture their wedding day. Being there for both their proposal and wedding was truly an honor.

How It All Began
Danielle and Leroy’s love story started like something out of a movie — literally!
They first met on August 15, 2017, at rehearsal for a play where they had both been cast… as love interests. From the very beginning, their roles meant they were supposed to spend a lot of time together. Danielle remembers thinking Leroy seemed like a really nice guy — and feeling determined to help him learn the ropes of the theater world.
Little did they know, their story offstage would end up being even better than the one they were performing.
