Engagement photo sessions can be both exciting and a little nerve-wracking. That’s exactly how our session with Samanta and Tim started—filled with anticipation but also some nerves. However, as an experienced engagement photographer in Charleston, I knew we’d find our rhythm and capture beautiful, meaningful moments. With the support of Samanta’s mother, who joined the session, the couple quickly relaxed, allowing their love to shine through.
As we got to know each other throughout the session, Samanta and Tim’s happiness became contagious. They shared many heartwarming stories, one of which truly captured the playfulness and joy of their relationship. Samanta recalled, “Our first date was kind of crazy. It was February and it was snowing, so we decided to go sledding. Our first trip down the hill together, we hit a bump and flew out of the sled! I ran to Tim, who had landed on his back and lost his breath. It took nearly 20 minutes for him to recover! After that, we decided it was better to stick to safer dates like eating out and watching movies!”
For this engagement photo session, we chose White Point Garden, one of the most iconic locations in Charleston. The lush, old oak trees provide a stunning backdrop, offering shade on hot days and the perfect setting for romantic, timeless photos. The pink flowers scattered throughout the park seemed to reflect the love and sincerity of Samanta and Tim’s relationship, creating a gentle, fairytale-like atmosphere.
White Point Garden is also home to several beautiful landmarks, including graceful benches, fascinating sculptures, and the charming old gazebo at its center. This gazebo, with its rich history, is a standout feature that adds character and elegance to any photo session. Whether it’s a simple stroll or a grand celebration, White Point Garden never disappoints as a location for capturing love stories.
