As an engagement photographer in Charleston, SC, with Charleston Photo Art, I’ve had the honor of capturing many love stories, and each one is unique and special. Tricia and Gregg’s engagement session at Waterfront Park was no exception. Their love story, rooted in faith and connection, was evident in every shot we captured that day.
Tricia and Gregg first met online, and like many modern love stories, their relationship blossomed through a screen before becoming something real and lasting. Their first encounter was through a FaceTime call, and Tricia vividly remembers that moment. Gregg was wearing a cantaloupe-colored t-shirt, and his beautiful complexion stood out to her immediately. But more importantly, it was his God-fearing nature and profound faith that truly captured her heart. Their faith-filled conversations became the foundation of their connection.
For Gregg, it was Tricia’s baby-blue eyes and blonde locks that first caught his attention. But beyond her appearance, it was her ability to communicate with him so effortlessly and openly that left a lasting impression. They talked about everything from life and travel to future plans and family. Gregg knew he had found someone special in Tricia, and their connection deepened with every conversation.
Their engagement session at Waterfront Park took place during the daytime, which gave us the opportunity to work with vibrant colors that beautifully reflected the energy of their love. The park’s lush greenery, iconic fountains, and stunning harbor views provided the perfect backdrop for their session. The natural light enhanced the vivid colors, from the bright blues of the water to the deep greens of the trees, adding a dynamic element to their photos.
As a Charleston engagement photographer, my goal is to capture authentic moments that reflect the couple’s unique story. For Tricia and Gregg, their shared faith and connection shone brightly, creating an undeniable warmth in each image. Their comfort with one another was palpable, and the vibrant surroundings of Waterfront Park complemented the joy and love they shared.
Having also photographed their wedding, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing their journey from engagement to marriage. Being a part of their story and capturing their most meaningful moments has been an honor.
If you’re planning your engagement session in Charleston and looking for a photographer to help tell your story, Waterfront Park is an ideal location. The vibrant colors of the daytime, paired with Charleston’s historic charm, create a perfect setting for timeless images. At Charleston Photo Art, I’m here to help capture the moments that matter most, whether it’s an engagement, wedding, or elopement.
