At Charleston Photo Art, we had the honor of capturing Ali and Andrew’s unforgettable wedding at Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens in October 2024. With a boho-rustic theme and a fall-inspired color palette, their wedding perfectly reflected their style, love story, and commitment to each other. From the emotional getting-ready moments to their magical sparkler exit, every detail was filled with beauty and meaning.
Ali and Andrew’s love story began in November at Vickery’s on Shem Creek, where they talked for hours, closing down two bars. Their connection was instant, and just three months into dating, they decided to buy and renovate a home together. Over the next 1.5 years, they worked side-by-side, turning their house into a home and building the foundation for their future. This home became an important part of their journey and even served as the backdrop for their engagement session, which was intimate, emotional, and incredibly touching.
For Ali and Andrew, Boone Hall Plantation was more than just a wedding venue — it was a dream come true. Long before their engagement, they both envisioned getting married there without ever discussing it. When they finally shared their dreams, Boone Hall was the mutual answer, making their wedding day feel like destiny.
Ali and Andrew began their big day surrounded by their closest friends and family. They prepared at their house and nearby hotels, adding a personal touch to their morning routines. Ali wore custom-designed Converse sneakers, reflecting her fun and creative personality. Her floral arrangements, crafted by Ali herself, emphasized the warm autumn hues of the day.
Before the ceremony, Ali and Andrew shared an intimate first look near Boone Hall’s main house. The moment was filled with raw emotion as Andrew saw Ali for the first time in her stunning gown. The connection between them was palpable, and the historic backdrop added timeless elegance to the photos.
Following the first look, we captured the bridal party photos near the avenue of oaks and the farm with horses. The boho-inspired dresses and fall-colored suits complemented the venue’s rustic charm. The bridal party brought energy and laughter, showcasing the couple’s tight-knit circle of loved ones.
The ceremony took place facing the avenue of oaks, with guests seated near the main house. The couple shared heartfelt vows in front of their family and friends, sealing their love with a kiss as the sun cast a golden glow through the trees. It was truly magical, and our cameras captured every tear, smile, and embrace.
The reception was held in Boone Hall’s Cotton Dock, featuring pretty lighting and entertainment from the amazing band Charleston Groove Factory. Ali and Andrew’s personal touches, from hand-designed floral arrangements to DIY table settings, made the space feel intimate and welcoming. Guests enjoyed a night of dancing, heartfelt toasts, and delicious Southern cuisine as the couple celebrated their new chapter.
Ali and Andrew ended their wedding night with a sparkler exit, surrounded by cheering guests. The glowing lights framed their final moments at Boone Hall, creating stunning photos and videos that perfectly captured the joy and excitement of the day.
