It was just an amazing wedding when Romela and Carl became Mrs and Mr and their happy story called “family life” began. They met at Fort Jackson, South Carolina at a Karaoke Bar 1.5 years ago. Karl’s marriage proposal was just wonderful. Ramela is addicted to food and he bought a cookbook. So he spent time cutting a heart out of the pages in the book in order to place the ring inside of it. And this whole touching process happened in the winery. And of course, Romela said yes. But how else? These two are simply made for each other. Сarl is very supportive of Romela in her work, and she, in her turn, simply cannot imagine her life without him.
On February 2, 2021, this young couple turned into a young family. It was a small wedding in Charleston, because both of them fell in love with South Carolina and felt the need to return to the State where they first met. Charleston was picked due to its beautiful scenery and historical areas. The small wedding in Charleston was planned in a rustic style with lots of greenery! The colors were white, wood and sage green. The wedding venue was Upstairs at Midtown, and it was an ideal wedding venue. The hall was simply drowned in wonderful flower decorations and candles. During the wedding ceremony, Filipino traditional wedding patterns were conducted. It was really incredible; the officiant named and explained each tradition during the ceremony. The very meaning of unity veil, unity candle, unity cord, passing of the coins, and the blessing of the hand. In the hall, the bride appeared arm in arm with her brother and blinded almost everyone with her beauty and outfit. White dress with open shoulders and lace, which fastens at the back with beaded buttons and passes into a long train. There was a tempting slit on the front of the dress and it was very impressive. Loose hair with light locks was beautifully pinned back under a long veil. Beautiful makeup and choker necklace on the neck. Romela was the real princess of her prince, who was dressed in a black suit, silver vest and tie, and white shirt. The lapel of the jacket was decorated with a white rose. The bridesmaids were dressed in sage green dresses with bouquets of white roses in their hands. The groom’s friends wore light gray suits.
As I have already mentioned, the wedding took place at Upstairs at Midtown. It is a perfect venue for small and intimate weddings and a great location for pictures at the same time. Wedding day was a rainy one, but as a professional Charleston wedding photographer, me and my team work in any weather conditions. Rainy weather is a perfect background for evening pictures, even though it was cold weather, pictures turned out great. During the celebration, guests sat at tables decorated with green decorations and candles. This gave a special atmosphere. The sign “just married” was on the newlywed’s table. The wedding cake deserves special attention. It was a two-tiered culinary masterpiece with green decorations and a heart and first two letter sign of the names Romela and Сarl at the top. It was a small wedding in Charleston but with huge emotions and a wave of love.
