Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is one of the most iconic locations in Charleston for a proposal, and it became the perfect spot for Dylan to ask Laura to marry him. It was a stunning day in July, with the gardens in full bloom and the Long White Bridge providing a picture-perfect backdrop for their big moment. As a Charleston proposal photographer, I was thrilled to be part of their carefully planned and beautiful proposal.
Dylan and I worked together closely to ensure every detail was just right. We exchanged maps and photos of the plantation to make sure everything would go off without a hitch, creating a seamless and stress-free experience. When the moment finally came, Dylan knelt near the picturesque Long White Bridge, and Laura said yes to forever.
Their story is just as beautiful as their proposal. As Laura shared, “We met at the end of May in 2020, right when the lockdown restrictions had been removed in Florida. At the time I was living in Miami and Dylan was in Tampa. So we decided to meet in the middle, in downtown Delray Beach. For months prior, our mutual friends, who are now married and expecting their second child, had been trying to set us up. They strongly believed Dylan and I would be a perfect match, and it turns out they were right. We have been together ever since the first night we met.”
After the proposal, we spent time exploring the gardens, capturing more beautiful moments that reflected their love and excitement. The lush greenery and vibrant colors of Magnolia Plantation in the summer made for some truly magical photos. It was a day to remember, and when I delivered the gallery to Dylan and Laura, they were so happy with the results that they booked me to photograph their wedding in Baltimore. I can’t wait to capture their big day and continue documenting their love story.
If you’re planning to propose in Charleston, there’s no better place than Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. With careful planning and the right photographer, your proposal will be a day you’ll remember forever.
